Supermarine Spitfire LF.IXc ‘MH424 / H-53’ (really MJ271)

Actual RAF serial ‘MJ271’. Later saw Dutch Air Force service as ‘H-8’.
After retirement in 1950, it passed to the Aviodrome museum for display. Painted in false markings as ‘H-53’, it was initially on display at Amsterdam’s Schipol Airport and later at Lelystad after the museum moved.
It became part of a deal involving a Fariey Firefly and is now with ARCo / Historic Flying, waiting it’s turn for restoration to flight.
Seen stored in Hangar 2 (North) at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford, Cambridgeshire. UK.
