Etihad Airways has presented the England Cricket team with their individual Etihad Guest Gold cards, providing the players exclusive positive aspects and rewards from the airline's award-winning loyalty plan.
The Abu Dhabi-based airline, official airline partner of the England and Wales Cricket Board, gave captain Alastair Cook and the England players the coveted Gold cards before the team set off on their tour to Sri Lanka.
The presentation was created by Clive Wratten, Etihad Airways' UK basic manager, in the historic Writing Room at the Lord's Cricket Ground in London.
Wratten said: "We're delighted to fly Alastair and his England teammates on their overseas tours, beginning with the 1 Day series in Sri Lanka.
"As Etihad Guest Gold card holders, the team can look forward to an added particular travel experience with unrivalled benefits on every Etihad Airways flight."
The Etihad Guest Gold card provides holders with 50 per cent extra Etihad Guest Miles on each flight, exclusive Gold tier rewards, Organization Class lounge access, priority verify-in and boarding, and quick-track immigration and baggage, amongst numerous other benefits.
The partnership with the ECB was launched in July 2014 and means England's national teams, including males, ladies, age-group and disability cricket, fly with Etihad Airways.
Etihad Airways flies 3 instances a day from London Heathrow and double day-to-day from Manchester to its property base of Abu Dhabi, with onward solutions to destinations across Africa, Indian Subcontinent and Asia.
