Carlson Wagonlit Travel opens Manila IT security operations centre Manila, capital of the Philippines

Carlson Wagonlit Travel has announced the official opening of its new facility in Manila, Philippines.

The opening took location for the duration of a ceremony attended by Monchito Ibrahim, deputy executive director of the data and communications technology office of the division of science and technologies, and Corazon Jorda-Apo, director for the market place improvement group of the department of tourism.

The centre is a state-of-the-art facility offering services around the clock to global customers.

It homes CWT's international network operations and international IT safety operations centre, supplying support for CWT's worldwide infrastructure.

CWT president Douglas Anderson mentioned at the opening: "Manila's reputation as obtaining an exceptional business climate for service organisations, its wealthy pool of certified talent and inherent philosophy of client service created it CWT's first decision for our new centre.

"As we develop our business about the globe, an effective, customer-focused group is crucial to making sure our clients' travel needs are well-managed."

The CWT workers at the centre will participate in a new global CWT coaching programme this year, created to shape travel consultants of the future.

The education will also be implemented in other CWT service centres around the planet such as Minneapolis and San Jose in Costa Rica, to make sure a constant and successful international offering for all customers.

Since it began operations in April 2014, the centre has already grown to 280 group members, offering help to consumers and staff across Asia Pacific and the globe.

CWT has had a presence in the Philippines considering that the early 1980s when Rajah Travel joined the CWT network, delivering travel solutions to CWT consumers based in the Philippines.

Rajah Travel will continue to supply services to CWT's clients based in the country, whilst the new, expanded Manila office will support consumers globally.
